SATO presented during CLIMA 2022

On Monday, May 23rd, Simon Pommerencke Melgaard, PhD Fellow from the Aalborg University, presented the conference article ‘Building assessment framework from whole building to components: A Danish case study’ during the CLIMA 2022 conference. CLIMA is the leading scientific world congress in the field of heating, ventilation and air-conditioning (HVAC).

During his presentation, Mr. Pommerencke Melgaard talked about the SATO KPI tool as well as the SATO framework, while elaborating on the reasons why they can be beneficial to practitioners when setting up assessment systems in buildings. The presentation also touched upon the data benchmarks that the SATO KPI assessment uses, which include: reference, actual, contextual, and historical benchmarks. The presentation wrapped up with an analysis of the advantages and disadvantages of each benchmark and the note that each benchmark has a different purpose.
